EBB stands for Electric BlowBack. These Airsoft guns run off of batteries and use a motor driven piston assembly to shoot a bb. The mechanical blowback system has no real impact or recoil to the user. The visual mechanical movement of the bolt travel is the key difference from the traditional AEG.
