The gun feels really good in your hand. The grip is comfortable and large yet small hands can still hold it easily. However, while the texturing is very aggressive and will probably never fail you, I’m still a bit worried about the large slippery space under the thumb. The slide feels tight, little to no wobble except for the exterior barrel, which probably could be redesigned so that the locking lug will actually lock with the frame, then any kind of wobble will be eliminated.
The controls are easy to use, the only problem I had was with the safety which I managed to lose the safety detent plunger and spring. I don’t know how I did it, but they disappeared somehow, so just be aware that this is probably something to look out for. Looking forward for a replacement at the time of this review.
The gun is DA/SA, which means that it can be operated in both double-action when the hammer is down and in single-action once it is cocked. The double-action trigger at first felt heavy with a small amount of mush, but with a little bit of breaking in and lubrication it now operates pretty smoothly. The single-action is very light and crisp, but there is little tactile feel of when exactly the trigger breaks. Something that could be fixed with a sear upgrade if there will ever be one for sale. However, in both DA ans SA, the reset feels very good and positive. The SA reset is very short, which allows for rapid fire with just a little bit of practice.
The gun is VERY accurate and the recoil is very hot. It feels incredible to shoot. The real gun holds 19+1 rounds, so if you play realcap just know that you have 4-5 more shots over the average Beretta 92 or Sig P226, which can be considered an advantage if you care about holding as much firepower as possible on your person. Sights have 3 target-style white dots, which work decently even in low light, but I’d personally look forward for an upgrade in the future.
The finish of the slide is decent. It’s plain matte, 0% glossy, and it looks somewhat durable. I wouldn’t say the same thing about the exterior barrel’s finish which will start to wear off a bit after a few shots, especially around the locking lug.
In conclusion, all around this is a great gun that’s worth every penny asked for. If you like hammer-fired polymer guns, this one is for you.
